Overview

Are you ready to transform the patient journey of individuals living with a chronic, progressive and underdiagnosed disease? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Director of Market Development, accountable for developing and implementing growth strategies for Insmed’s investigational pipeline product! This role will focus on developing and implementing data-driven marketing strategies to enhance customer acquisition and engagement – specifically focused on identifying strategies to accelerate appropriate diagnosis and treatment of patients potentially living with serious diseases in the U.S.

Responsibilities

As with all Insmed employees, this individual will put patients first and champion their needs. All employees serve as Insmed cultural ambassadors, contributing to the reinforcement and ongoing growth of our culture. This position will report to the Senior Director, Patient Marketing. This position does not have any direct reports.Responsibilities:
  • Insight Generation: Synthesize actionable insights from a mix of qualitative and quantitative data to identify, size and prioritize growth opportunities.
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive, multi-stakeholder strategies to accelerate appropriate patient diagnosis of bronchiectasis.
  • Execution: Build and deploy marketing initiatives that may include partnerships, predictive interventions, referral programs, and other innovative growth initiatives.
  • Measurement and Optimization: Establish goals and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, with a lens to continuous learning and optimization.
  • Leadership: Influence without authority and collaborate across functions – including healthcare provider and payer marketing, medical, sales, commercial effectiveness, advocacy, legal and regulatory teams.
  • Agency & Consulting Management: Develop and manage scopes of work and staffing plans with supporting agency and consulting partners.
  • Digital Marketing: Build and oversee digital marketing campaigns and media plans.
  • Budget Management: Build business cases to secure investment and run a marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, with a consistent track record of driving growth in a fast-paced environment. Multi-stakeholder (patient, healthcare provider, payer) experience is preferred.
  • Strong research and analytical acumen.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling – written, verbal and visual.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Individuals must demonstrate the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (mix of work from home/corporate office 1+ time per week)
  • Position is based in Bridgewater, NJ
  • Up to 20% travel

Salary Range

$171,000 - $239,667 a year
