Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for the development and execution of the global commercial strategy for two potential add-on indications to our investigational pipeline product. In this role, the Director will shape the early commercial strategy for several life cycle management indications. This individual will join a rapidly growing and fast-paced matrix organization focused on improving patient lives. The ideal candidate must be skilled in both strategy and execution - with an analytical mindset, strong marketing fundamentals, and a proven track-record of driving growth by untapping unknown or overlooked opportunities. Success in this role will require implementation of multi-stakeholder and multi-channel strategies: experience in a breath of pharmaceutical marketing roles is strongly preferred.   As with all Insmed employees, this individual must put patients first and champion their needs. This position will report to the Senior Director, Global Strategy and Lifecycle Management. This position does not have any direct reports. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish Target Product Profiles and validate as needed with external stakeholders
  • In partnership with commercial effectiveness and medical affairs, identify value drivers, competitive landscape evolution, epidemiology, and stakeholder prioritization
  • Lead key strategic business decisions that inform commercialization strategy through collaboration and alignment across functions and regions
  • Provide commercial insight and recommendations to clinical development programs and integrated evidence teams
  • Work effectively across the company to ensure appropriate alignment with other functional areas’ initiatives and priorities
  • Set and uphold expectations for commercial planning
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, with experience in new product planning, commercial, or strategic roles.
  • Strong knowledge of the drug development process, including the Product Development and Commercialization Process.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong analytical skills required to understand scientific data, recognize key business issues and prepare high-level presentations for senior executives.
  • Ability to shift thinking between the overall ‘big’ picture and the details
  • Proven track record of success showing strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and influence without authority cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
  • Excellent learning capability and aspiration for excellence

Salary Range

$171,000 - $239,667 a year
