Overview

The Manager of Market Research will be a key member of the Commercial Effectiveness organization, responsible for leading day-to-day management and execution of market research projects that will help to shape US commercial strategy for both inline products and upcoming launches. The incumbent will support the Directors of Market Research and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance) to understand and deliver a proactive perspective on the business. The position will be in Bridgewater, NJ and may require some travel.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify key business questions that would benefit from market research
  • Draft RFPs for primary market research projects
  • Manage market research (both qualitative and quantitative) to provide insights that support business decision making
  • Support the Directors of Market Research with identifying / summarizing key market research insights, integrating insights with any related secondary data findings, and presenting information to cross-functional partners
  • Develop expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, related commercial products, and assets in development to ensure accurate data interpretation
  • Ensure research from vendors is executed in a timely and quality fashion
  • Become a trusted partner to members of the Commercial Effectiveness team as well as internal stakeholders
Knowledge & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in market research and at least 2 years within the biopharmaceutical industry (Past consulting experience beneficial; mix of education and experience will be considered)
  • Experience within the US market
  • Rare disease / specialty / respiratory experience preferred
  • Product launch experience preferred
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or other advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred
  • Proven record of success through teamwork and execution
Skills:
  • Strong project management experience with ability to maintain good time management while prioritizing and delivering against multiple deadlines
  • Inquisitive nature with the ability to dig deeper into the insights and identify the ‘why’ behind the data and trends, and synthesize this into a clear and concise output
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Excel/ PowerPoint/ Word)
  • Strong and agile team player able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness

Salary Range

$111,000 - $156,133 a year
