About the Role!


The Director of Business Systems is responsible for supporting, planning and managing business applications across HR, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain areas. The Director understands the processes performed by functional business areas and is proficient at leading these functional business areas with his/her functional acumen. The incumbent should be able to thrive in an exceptionally fast paced environment and build credibility with multiple business stakeholders. The Director will be someone who can see the “Big Picture”, and who can identify and execute projects that have a widespread, global, business-wide impact. S/he ensures the Business Applications (Oracle Financials, HR, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, etc.) projects/portfolio are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner, incorporates effective change and risk management controls, and is responsible for the management of the demand management process. The ideal candidate will have strong global solutions, application, and project/portfolio management experience. They must have a good understanding of technical infrastructure primarily in an Oracle EBS On – Premise/AWS Hosted environment. The candidate must have led global projects and supported Oracle EBS globally. This position will manage a team of functional and technical experts and will report to the VP-IT.


  • This is a supervisory position with 3 direct reports
  • This role oversees vendors and/or contractors


  • Lead global Oracle EBS build-out for Europe and Japan.
  • Provide direct leadership over the management Oracle EBS such as Financials, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Applications
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and management through third party vendor for the Oracle EBS globally
  • Develops a roadmap, builds and manages relationships with senior leaders throughout the organization
  • Responsible for maintaining a SOX environment and ensuring the team is compliant.
  • Manages cross-functional teams optimized for successful business execution
  • Ensures and is accountable for continuous strategic and operational alignment between all critical business systems and their user communities
  • Lead team to define, document and standardize business needs, business processes, flows and diagram within the new ERP deployments
  • Partner with business to prioritize user requirements and functional requirements
  • Communicate effectively overall program, project status, risks and issues
  • Supports the ERP initiatives in design, development and implementation of plans to translate enterprise information system objectives into functional business systems
  • Creates and manages the Business Systems budget and provides input in the administration of the overall IT budget


About You!

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology related discipline from accredited college or university.
  • Experience leading EU, Japan implementation and supporting a global environment critical to the role.
  • 15+ years of direct IT management experience supporting a global ERP environment
  • 10+ years minimum with global ERP - Oracle Finance/Procurement/Supply Chain/Manufacturing required. Must be familiar with Order-to-Cash, Supply Chain processes operating in a global environment.
  • Required experience supporting a GxP, SOX compliant environment
  • Strong collaborative skills to work across regions, multiple stakeholder and global groups to translate business strategies, initiatives, goals and objectives into project proposals
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and break down complex business problems into easily understood communications
