About the Role!
The Senior Director, Search & Evaluation is a key role in supporting the company’s global business development needs and objectives. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Search and Evaluation activities of the company across all stages of R&D, from research platforms and pre-clinical compounds to late-stage clinical assets and inline products. The Senior Director, Search and Evaluation will play an instrumental role in driving the expansion of the company’s pipeline by sourcing and evaluating high-potential assets, licensing opportunities, and collaborations in alignment with the strategic priorities of the company.
To deliver on this objective, the Senior Director, Search & Evaluation will be responsible for building a broad network through the biotech and biopharmaceutical landscape, to communicate the company’s long-term business objectives and priorities to the external eco-system, and to position the company as the “Partner of Choice”. In addition to sourcing opportunities, this individual will be responsible to drive diligence activities, and to collaborate with other parts of the organization in the evaluation of potential transactions.
This individual will possess strong scientific expertise in the life sciences and biopharmaceutical industry and significant Search and Evaluation business development experience in the rare disease, pulmonary, infectious therapeutic areas or adjacent therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated and will possess strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Development.
