Overview

A unique opportunity for an inquisitive, excellence driven, and strategic leader with analytics capabilities to join fast paced, innovative, biotech company focused on rare diseases. This position will be located at our Bridgewater, NJ headquarters location.

The Associate Director, Business Analytics will serve as a consultative business partner and strategic advisor to marketing and sales leadership, by proactively providing actionable analytics and insights in support of key brand and organizational objectives, through coordination and synthesis of analytics across multiple functions (Marketing, Sales and Patient Services).

The Associate Director, Business Analytics will be a member of the Commercial Effectiveness team reporting to the Director of Analytics and Forecasting. This individual will partner closely with key internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Commercial Effectiveness, IT, Commercial Operations, Patient Services, Legal, Compliance) to accomplish the role.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of a combination of Management Consulting, Business Analytics, and Marketing supporting a Commerical Organization within a biopharmaceutical company/consulting company is required

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Establish well-defined objectives for Business Analytics function, in collaboration with supervisor, marketing, sales and patient services leadership.
  • Provide proactive support to marketing and sales leadership team to anticipate business needs and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights, through data analyses, to achieve brand & business objectives.
  • Develop and conduct data analyses to uncover business opportunities and support brand strategy, e.g. promotion impact assessment, customer segmentation, etc.
  • Support the brand planning process and assist in the development of tactical and strategic plans to enable brand growth
  • Continually assess disease state and market dynamics, customers and competitors to improve business performance.
  • Active participation with the commercial leadership team to help shape both the near-term and long-term commercial strategy in collaboration with sales, marketing, and patient services
  • Provide analytical support as needed to the Incentive Compensation team on a quarterly basis.
  • Manage budget and perform annual business planning

Qualifications

About you!

 

To be considered you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree (MS or PhD) in analytics-related discipline preferred
  •  
  • Minimum of 5 years of a combination of Management Consulting, Business Analytics, and Marketing supporting a Commerical Organization within a biopharmaceutical company/consulting company is required
  • SAAS and/or SQL experience combined with fluency in Excel and PowerPoint

Additional Qualifications include:

  • Experience leveraging deep analytics to identify and deliver key business insights that are actionable in order to drive the business forward
  • Specialty product launch and/or rare disease experience highly preferred
  • Forecasting experience, a plus
  • Demonstrated capability to proactively identify, frame and communicate complex model results and present meaningful business opportunities and challenges in strategic terms across all levels of organization (i.e. Executive leadership)
  • Excellent collaborative, consultative and solution minded approach working across multiple functions to lead, influence and persuade, without direct authority, through crisp oral and written communication anchored in sound business logic
  • Fluency in the use of a broad array of secondary data sources e.g. prescription data, de-identified patient level data, payer covered lives and formulary, co-pay support, HUB and specialty pharmacy data, etc.
  • Strong and agile team player able to adapt and execute based on evolving business needs
  • Experience with business intelligence software like Qlik, Tableau, a plus
