    Overview

    The Director develops and supports a wide range of initiatives and proactively provides leadership and consultation to business groups, supporting managers and employees of Insmed.  The Director will be the first HR leader for the EMEA and will have responsibility to assist in the attraction and retention of key talent in support of the globalization of Insmed. 

    Responsibilities

    • Works with leaders to understand core capabilities needed to drive business results and translate into actionable recruiting strategies and developmental programs for functional teams.
    • Develop best in class recruiting and pipeline strategies to assist in growing the talent base in EU
    • Provides ongoing support to business leaders by serving as "sounding board" in both a business and people-related capacity. Utilize high level consulting skills to influence, coach and provide feedback to employees at all levels.
    • Provides feedback and insights to the CPSO and Executive leadership about organizational development, structure and proactively predict outcomes and prescribe actions to ensure smooth operations.
    • Identifies key engagement drivers and develops the supporting strategies to align people, processes, and work- related systems in order to achieve meaningful levels of job satisfaction and retention for employees. Drive a pay for performance culture and ensure alignment of goals, performance standards and compensation strategies.
    • Partners with business groups in EU and US to focus on building the Insmed culture, including team development, conflict resolution and fostering an environment of open feedback and communication. Helping to ensure the EU team is living the corporate values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Passion and Integrity
    • Develop and drives consistency in administering human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive appropriate and equitable treatment.
    • Ensure all employee policies and procedures are in line with local and national requirements while aligning when appropriate with the organizational culture.
    • Working with the Director of Total Rewards to ensure alignment, develops and manages local Total Rewards programs including health, welfare, wellness, retirement, recognition, base pay, short-term and long-term incentives. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree is required;  graduate degree highly desired
    • Minimum of 10 years progressive human resources business partner experience including organizational effectiveness/change management, learning & development, and talent management. Compensation and Benefits experience is a plus.
    • Multi-location HR experience at a global level is essential. Experience in a Commercial stage organization is preferred.
    • Biopharmaceutical experience preferred, life science experience is required.
    • Working knowledge of major EU country employment laws and requirements (UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy)
    • Proven experience in development and implementation of HR initiatives is required.
    • Experience working within a fast-paced, complex, dynamic business environment.
    • Strong consultative style with proven experience supporting Business Unit Leaders.
    • Strong business acumen: understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth and commercialization.
    • Proven customer-centric focus: ability to influence culture and create alignment between business goals, behaviors, and compensation systems that drive performance.
    • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish rapport with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong consultative style with proven experience supporting Business Unit Leaders.
    • Proven ability to lead and influence others.
    • Strong executive presence, excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work with discretion to create effective business solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization
    • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required by the needs of the business.
    • Self-motivated, self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment as a leader influencing change and organizational effectiveness.
