    Overview

    The Senior Director, US Marketing will be accountable for successfully driving the launch and growth of ARIKAYCE in the US. Responsibilities will be to develop marketing strategies and lead brand team to execute on brand objectives. This individual will lead the key aspects of product management and support field sales organization, sales operations, and other commercial partners to achieve near and long-term objectives. Position will report to the General Manager of ARIKAYCE.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the ARIKAYCE Brand Team on executing the US brand strategy
    • Develop and execute nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) disease awareness campaigns
    • Working cross-functionally, lead the global brand platform development for launch in key markets
    • Prepare and execute the ARIKAYCE US launch plan
    • Lead strategic and tactical plans for health care professionals and patients
    • Work closely with Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Advocacy and Commercial Operations team members to align and compliantly execute key tactical activities
    • Handle congress planning, including ATS, CHEST, and other regional meetings
    • Establish strong relationships and develop collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including KOLs, professional societies, and advocacy groups
    • Working closely with the financial business partner, identify and manage resources (budget tracking and agency management)
    • Be a product champion and maintain knowledge of therapy areas and technical aspects of Arikayce
    • Develop and execute marketing plans for ARIKAYCE
    • Ensure culture of compliance for US brand team
    • Conduct assessments which incorporate analytics and competitive events into strategy

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Biological Science or Pharmacy discipline; MBA preferred.
    • Requires a minimum 12 years of Marketing experience, with a minimum 6 years of commercial experience in brand management/marketing in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry; recent experience leading a launch desired
    • Experience in managing external partners (e.g. consultants, agencies)
    • Proven ability to develop exceptional relationships and have an impact on or appropriately influence others
    • Experience working in a start-up and/or mid-cap sized company highly desired
    • Orphan or rare disease experience (pulmonary preferred) and/or an authentic commitment to working closely with patient community preferred
    • Familiarity/experience with regulatory and pharmaceutical legal promotional review processes
    • A track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results.
    • Market research/analytics background a plus.
    • Successful track record of U.S. product launch experience also preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional, high-performance teams
    • Highly developed organizational and prioritization skills and capability
    • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness. 
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to travel 30% (some international) required
