    The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists focused on the discovery, development, and characterization of novel drug candidates to treat diseases of unmet need.


    • Conduct preformulation and formulation work to support the discovery of novel nanoparticle and/or dry powder drug products
    • Perform characterization techniques to assess drug product physiochemical properties
    • Support in vitro and in vivo preclinical investigations
    • Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results including the generation of internal technical reports
    • Maintain laboratory equipment
    • Present scientific results to the team


    • B.S. with a minimum 5 years experience, M.S. with at least 2 years experience or a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related discipline
    • Experience formulating soft nanomaterials including micelles, liposomes, and polymeric particles desired
    • Experience with soft nanomaterial characterization desired
    • Experience lyophilizing polymers and biomaterials desired
    • Experience in pharmaceutical dry powder formulation and characterization desired
    • Experience with analytical methods including HPLC desired
    • Experience with inhalation drug delivery a plus
    • Experience in developing and testing anti-infective therapies a plus
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
    • Knowledge of data processing and documentation desired
